As you are aware, the Federal Government has introduced the proposed Cannabis Act that aims to legalize non-medicinal cannabis in Canada by July 2018. The Government of Saskatchewan is conducting targeted engagements regarding cannabis legalization.
The Government of Saskatchewan is asking for the public’s feedback on cannabis legalization within Saskatchewan through a survey on Saskatchewan.ca.
The results of this survey will aid the Government of Saskatchewan in creating the best possible framework for its citizens. The framework will be guided by several overarching objectives, which include but are not limited to:
1. Restricting the illegal cannabis market;
2. Keeping cannabis out of the hands of children and youth;
3. Protecting public and personal health and safety; and,
4. Promoting safety on roads, in workplaces and in public spaces.
The Council feels that this survey is in the best interest of the safety of the citizens of Saskatchewan so we are sharing it with our members and subscribers.
